Bill Kolinski, 84
Bill Kolinski, 84, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born in Stevens Point on May 12, 1940, to Bill and Isabelle (née Nowak) Kolinski. He attended St. Peter Grade School and was a member of the first graduating class of Pacelli High School in 1951.
An active member and officer of the Pointer Quarterback Club, Bill served two years as president. He was known for his deep knowledge of sports and statistics, particularly regarding his beloved Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
Bill was also a member of Moose Lodge #1572 in Stevens Point. He married Lois Buelow on October 17, 1964, at St. Peter Catholic Church. The couple lived in Wisconsin Rapids for four years before moving to Stevens Point.
Bill worked at a Chevy dealership in Wisconsin Rapids before moving to Stevens Point, where he was employed at Gullikson Chevrolet and its successor dealerships. He later retired from Len Dudas Motors and spent 10 years driving a school bus for Simkowski Buses.
On July 26, 1982, Bill married Marion (née Lassa) Przybylski. They shared 38 years together at their home. Bill is survived by his stepson, Duane Przybylski (Beverly), and his daughter, Denise (Ken) Glodowski; three grandchildren, Danielle (Matt) Wyngaard, Katie (Kyle) Wojcik, and Kyle Glodowski; and three great-grandchildren, Liam and Levi Wyngaard, and Willow Grace Wojcik.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Dennis Przybylski, his first wife, Lois, his parents, his brother, Stanley (Delores), and his sisters, Grace (Gil) Habeck and Eleanor (Edwin) Eskritt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4th Avenue, Stevens Point, with Fr. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Visitation will be held in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Eden Brook Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids for their compassionate care during Bill’s final weeks, as well as to Dr. Jordan at Stevens Point Orthopedics.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name will be established at a later date.
