Aspirus celebrates National Nurses Week

May 6-12 is National Nurses week recognized by the American Nurses Association.

The week-long celebration is to recognize the significant contributions nurses make to their organizations to better the health of the communities they serve.

According to the American Nurses Association, there are 4 million registered nurses in the United States with the profession being rated as the most honest and ethical profession. Aspirus has over 1,800 registered nurses throughout the system with nearly 1,000 in the Wausau area.

Aspirus is celebrating Nurse’s Week with a day-long celebration that includes a light breakfast and a taco/nacho bar.

Massages and raffle baskets will also be provided throughout the day for nurses to enjoy their breaks.
