Arthur Fredock, age 81, of the town of Franzen, Marathon County, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Adalbert’s Church in Rosholt. Rev. Thomas Nirappel and Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate. Friends and family may gather to share memories from 10 am until the time of services on Saturday at the church. A general rosary will be prayed at the church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be held at the parish cemetery.
Arthur was born in the town of Franzen on January 2, 1940, to the late Anthony Fredock and Cecilia (Sikorski) Fredock.
At the age of 16, he began working for Bushman Brothers, Rosholt, until he was able to buy his own farm, which he operated until ill health.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed going to dances. Arthur liked visiting with friends, getting his crops planted, watching them grow, and harvesting them.
Arthur is survived by two sisters: Rita Suchon of Antigo, and Audrey Fredock of the town of Franzen; two brothers: Harold and Lawrence, both of the town of Franzen; and sister-in-law Marie Fredock of Rosholt. He is further survived by four nieces and five nephews, many grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Cecilia; two brothers, Anthony G and Howard; brother-in-law Leo Suchon, and two nephews-in-law.
Arthur’s family would like to thank the Hatley first responders and the Homme Home of Wittenberg for the care they provided to him.
