Armed robbers strike south side bar
Metro Wire Staff
Stevens Point police say a south side bar was the victim of an armed robbery on Saturday morning.
Two suspects entered The 13th Floor, 1109 Park St., shortly after 6 a.m. on July 14. One of the suspects carried a long gun, according to Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner.
The duo got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release from SPPD. There were no injuries.
Police declined to say if they had anyone in custody for the incident, but they did not release any descriptions of the suspects.
“We are not releasing any additional information at this time, though I will say it does not appear to be connected to the other armed robbery we are currently investigating,” Zenner said.
Investigators are actively working this investigation, he said, and no further information will be released at this time.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Sgt. Robert Kussow at (715) 346-1515, or to remain anonymous, contact Portage County Crimestoppers at (888) 346-6600.
