Camper applications are now open for the summer 2026 session at Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt.
This season marks the camp’s 70th summer serving youth and adults with disabilities across the state.
The ten-week program is offered free of charge to Wisconsin residents or students and is funded through the Lions Clubs of Wisconsin, along with individual and business donors. Each weekly session can serve up to 150 campers.
The 2026 schedule includes camps for adults who are blind or visually impaired, youth with diabetes, individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, youth with epilepsy, and youth and adults who are deaf or hard of hearing.
The summer begins June 7–11 with a session for adults who are blind or visually impaired. Youth diabetes camps are scheduled for June 14–18 and June 21–25. Sessions for youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities or autism will run from late June through mid-July, including one invitation-only week for young adults. Additional sessions in late July and early August will serve campers who are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, or living with epilepsy. The summer concludes Aug. 10–14 with a session for adults who are deaf or hard of hearing.
To qualify, campers must be able to function socially and behaviorally with a one-to-six staff-to-camper ratio and be independent in basic self-care skills, including toileting, dressing, bathing and eating. Campers must also meet disability-specific requirements.
Application deadlines vary by session. Adults who are blind or visually impaired must apply by April 24. Applications for all youth camps are due May 15. Adults who are deaf or hard of hearing must apply by July 13.
Applications and additional information are available at wisconsinlionscamp.com. Camp officials said that the confirmation process can take up to a month after an application is submitted.
