Anthony G. Fredock, age 84, of Rosholt, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the Iola Assisted Living Center.
A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held for Anthony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Thomas Nirappel will officiate. Friends and family may gather to share memories from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel, 3200 Stanley St. Stevens Point.
A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. at Shuda’s Friday evening. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the parish cemetery with full Military Honors. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.
Anthony was born on November 19, 1935, in Wittenberg, Wis., the son of Anthony and Cecilia (Sikorski) Fredock. He attended St. Adalbert’s, Birch Grove, and Galloway schools before joining the National Guard. He was honorably discharged in 1962.
Anthony married the love of his life, Marie Bricko, at St. Adalbert’s Church in Rosholt on December 30, 1961. The couple lived in the state of Washington for eight months before settling in Milwaukee where he worked for Briggs and Stratton as a foreman for 31 years until retirement.
Anthony loved polka dancing, fixing small engines, and spending time with his grandkids. He was a multi-tasker and loved taking on many projects.
Anthony is survived by his wife Marie Fredock, son, Dennis (Janet) Fredock, Galloway, Wis.; daughter, Ann (Michael) Smith, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; five siblings, Rita Suchon, Antigo; Audrey Fredock, Wittenberg; Arthur Fredock, Wittenberg; Harold Fredock, Wittenberg; Lawrence Fredock, Wittenberg; sister-in-law, Rita Bricko, Rosholt; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Olivia, Benjamin, Ellery, Lucas, Brian, and Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Howard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Adalbert’s Catholic School because of his love of children.
Anthony’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Iola Assisted Living Center and Heartland Hospice for all the care they gave to him and his family.
