Mid-State Technical College is celebrating its 31st Annual Foundation Golf Outing with a circus-themed 18-hole competition and fundraiser.

The event tees off at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at SentryWorld Golf Course in Stevens Point, with all proceeds benefitting a variety of Mid-State Foundation scholarships, grants and emergency funding for students.

There will be many opportunities for prizes at the event, including gift certificates for the top five teams from scratch score. All participants will also have the opportunity to bid on auction items at the reception and vote on best-dressed theme team. Registration includes 18-hole scramble, shared golf cart, lunch, heavy hors-d’oeuvres, drink ticket, skins game entry, mulligan, 24 par-3 raffle tickets and bingo card.

According to Jill Steckbauer, Foundation and Alumni director, the 2017 annual golf outing raised nearly $10,000 to help fund approximately 20 different scholarships for students.

“Our annual golf outing is one of our most popular events, raising more money for student programs than any other Mid-State Foundation event over the course of the year,” she said. “Those who participate enjoy an incredible day of fun but more importantly provide critical funds to help central Wisconsin students achieve life-changing academic goals.”

The deadline to register or sponsor the event is Thursday, May 24. More information can be found at www.mstc.edu/golf. Call 715-422-5322 or email [email protected] with any questions.
