Amy A. Britz, 46

Amy A. Britz, 46, from Stevens Point passed away on January 25, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital due to COVID pneumonia.

Amy was born on December 21, 1975, the daughter of John M. and Ann (Herman) Britz. Amy was born severely handicapped and was not supposed to live past her teen years. However, she had a fighting spirit like no other. Amy has been an angel in waiting. Amy enjoyed playing with her rattles, listening to music, especially polkas; splashing in the water, feeling the wind on her face, McDonald’s cheeseburgers, and especially Cold Stone ice cream cake on her birthday.

Amy is survived by her mother Ann, Plover, her sisters Julie (Kenny) Wierzba, Rosholt, Mary (Tony) Mocadlo, Amherst; brothers Brian (Karen) Britz, Brad (Bette), both of Stevens Point, and John P. “Jack” (Lori), Phillips; nieces Kaitlyn (Dan) Nelson, Kristin, Rachel, Brooke Britz, and McKenna Wierzba; and nephews Nathan, Brett Britz, T.J., and Alex Wierzba.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, who has been waiting for almost 10 years to take a walk with her in heaven.

The family would like to thank ALL the staff at Aurora Community Services, Becky Fandre, and Sarah Janz from Inclusa, Inc., and all those who have compassionately cared for her during her lifetime.

Private services will be held at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 7176 Esker Road, Custer, 54423.  Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
