Amherst Fairgrounds to host 50th Anniversary Little Britches Rodeo

AMHERST — The 50th anniversary of the Little Britches of Wisconsin Rodeo will be celebrated at the Amherst Fairgrounds on Aug. 17 and 18.

The event, presented by the Tomorrow River Lions and the Amherst Boots & Saddles Club, promises a weekend of excitement for all ages.

Participants aged 5 to 18 will compete in events such as barrel racing, roping, and bull riding. The rodeo will kick off with the Grand Entry at 9 a.m. on both days. Admission is $5, or $10 for three tickets, which includes a raffle entry. Children aged 5 and under can attend for free.

The Queen Coronation will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the rodeo arena. Concessions will be available throughout the event.

Evening entertainment, including music, a mechanical bull, and more, will begin at 7 p.m. on both nights. The entertainment is free to the public, with beer and soda available for purchase.
