ADRC’s Lincoln Center closes Monday

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Portage Co. will suspend all activities in the senior center, to include communal dining, beginning on Monday, March 16.

The decision was made on Friday in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control recommendations, which identifies older adults, and those with pre-existing medical conditions, at higher risk of contracting respiratory illnesses like COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus.

As part of the closure, meal sites in Amherst, Junction City, Rosholt, Plover, and Stevens Point are closed until further notice, according to a news release from the ADRC. My Meal My Way programs in Rosholt and Plover are also suspended.

The ADRC will continue home-delivered meals as planned.
