May 4
Bad Mama: Deputies were called to a home on County Tk. Z after a caller reported a mother left the home under the influence, leaving a six-week-old child home alone at 4:42 p.m.
Disrespectful Son: A 50-year-old woman called deputies at 8:15 p.m. to say her 19-year-old son was being disrespectful.
OWI: Police arrested a 22-year-old woman for first-offense OWI following a traffic stop at Heffron and Church streets at 2:13 a.m. The woman was also cited for lane deviation.
Witness Intimidation: Police arrested a 37-year-old man for felonious witness intimidation and bail-jumping after he reportedly threatened a witness in an upcoming trial.
No Food Trucks Here: Police were called to investigate a possible vending ordinance violation after a downtown business owner reporting food sales outside of their business on the 900 block of Main St. at 11:19 p.m.
May 5
Mailbox Fatality: Deputies responded to a home on the 6100 block of Shady Dr. after a 59-year-old woman reported a hit and run to her mailbox at 5:39 a.m.
Rear-Ender: A 21-year-old man was cited for operating after suspension and operating without insurance following a two-vehicle crash near Highways 10 and 34 at 5 p.m.
Car Theft: Police arrested a 28-year-old man for stealing a car that belonged to his girlfriend’s mother at 2:44 a.m.
Resisting: Police arrested a man on a charge of resisting or obstructing an officer at 9:38 p.m. after he reportedly refused to leave a private residence when asked.
Fight: A 22-year-old man was arrested during an altercation with three other men, ages 23, 25, and 41, on the 800 block of Main St. at 9;54 p.m.
May 6
Wrong-Way Driver: Police arrested a 21-year-old man for first offense OWI at 1:45 a.m. near Main and Division streets. The man was reportedly driving the wrong way on Main St.
Battery: A 22-year-old man was arrested on charges of battery, bail-jumping, and possession of THC following a domestic incident on the 1300 block of W. Pearl St. at 3:08 a.m.
No Butts About It: A woman, 52, called police at 11:29 a.m. to complain about cigarette butts being thrown into planters on the 600 block of John’s Dr.
Midroad Walker: Deputies stopped to assist a male who was walking in the middle of the road near McDill Ave. and Willard St. at 12:41 a.m.
Dude, Where’s My Car: An 18-year-old woman called deputies from an unknown location at 10:43 a.m. because she didn’t know where her car was located.
No Burning, Fella: Deputies responded to the intersection of Poplar Dr. and Hoover at 7:46 p.m. after a caller reported a suspicious 18-year-old man starting a campfire on a discarded grill in a ditch.
