Point Supply invites public to annual warehouse sale

By Brandi Makuski

Worzella’s Point Supply, LLC is holding its annual warehouse sale Sept. 20-22, and the public is welcome.

The longtime family-run company, currently operated by Alan Worzella, sells everything from bulk Brillo pads to champagne glasses. Maple syrup pans to bath towels. High-grade chef’s knives to bulk toilet paper.

“Once people realize buying commercial toilet paper doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality, plus you get so much more product for less cost, they keep coming back to us,” Worzella said. “It’s little things like that we try to educate people on, we say, ‘Hey, you can buy this stuff for your house.'”

Worzella said many first-time customers tell him they weren’t aware the business was open to the public. Even though there are two large signs on the building inviting the public in, Worzella said many people think the company only sells to other businesses.

They do sell commercially, but not exclusively, hence the annual warehouse sale.

“The whole idea is to give the public the knowledge that it’s open to the public; whether you need a pair of kids shorts or a salad refrigerator, we’ve got it,” Worzella said. “It also allows us to get rid of clearance and closeout stuff, and there are some consignment items. There’s a little bit of everything. Even though there are commercial products we sell, it’s a lot better than going than buying a five-dollar piece of garbage from Walmart that’s going to break on you every few years. You might as well get something that’s going to last you a while.”

Worzella said some products he sells are industrial grade and not designed to be around small children, but added, “baby wipes, kid’s shorts, chef’s knives, towels, washcloths…if it’s not food, it’s not booze, it’s not cars; we probably sell it.”

Worzella also said he has a lot of customers seeking Maple syrup-related items, as Point Supply is one of the few companies in the area that sell the large-sized pans needed for processing the syrup.

The company has been in Worzella’s family for 35 years, he said.

The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the store, 3717 Patch St. For more information, contact the store at (715) 345-1845 or find them on Facebook.
