Hey, Girl Scouts: Do you have cookies to sell? We can help!

Metro Wire Staff

Hundreds of thousands of Girl Scout cookies are waiting in limbo.

Girl Scout troops across the nation have been forced to shut down their annual cookie sale drives, which typically runs between January and April. Locally, Girl Scout troops sell their cookies on tables outside of local retailers like Copps, Trig’s, Walmart, and other locations.

But with the closure of so many major retailers and small businesses, those selling locations have been closed down to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

The Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council this week also restricted in-person Girl Scout gatherings, part of Gov. Tony Evers’ ban on public or private gatherings of 10 or more people.

At press, a table has been set up to sell Girl Scout cookies at Kuby’s Bar and Grill, 2408 Division St., where owner Bill Kubisiak keeps the doors open for take-out food orders. The cookies are $5 a box.

Kubisiak on Thursday said his cookie source had hundreds of boxes they still needed to sell.

Other locations:

  • Troop 6260, Galaxy Hobby, 2626 Post Rd., Plover; and the Bunny Hop Cafe, 601 Main St., Junction City
