Dugan keeps District 8 seat

In one of the most anticipated races of the night, results are finally in for the District 8 council seat.

Incumbent Cathy Dugan, who is serving her first term, has bested challenger Lynn Schulist by a vote of 300 to 270, according to the Stevens Point website.

By comparison, 411 votes were cast in District 8 during the February primary.

The results are unofficial until Monday’s canvassing committee.
