Branch libraries to hold live, virtual events

Metro Wire Staff

The Portage County Public Library has shifted much of its summer programming to the internet.

Books clubs, storytimes for children, and other summer programs will be held via Facebook Live or Zoom video conferencing. The online programming will help prevent the need for in-person groups during the COVID pandemic, according to a news release from the library.

The programs are open to the public and remain free.

For more information on upcoming events, go to www.pocolibrary.org, or follow the library on Facebook to notifications on upcoming events.

The Portage Co. Library has branches in Stevens Point, Plover, Rosholt, and Almond. For more information, visit www.pocolibrary.org or call 715-346-1544.
