‘Books From the Heart’ Celebrates 20 Years

Books from the Heart is returning to local elementary schools.

With two decades on the books—pun intended—the program operates with the sole purpose of providing a new book to every student in grades K-2.

The program operates in both public and parochial schools, and books are delivered directly to students in time for Valentine’s Day.

And once again this year, the public is being asked to help with donations of new children’s books or cash.

Donations will be taken through Feb. 10, and should be sent to: Books from the Heart, c/o Sally Crane, Kennedy Elementary School, 616 West Second Street, Junction City, Wis., 54443.
