Bone & Joint Center announces photo contest

The Bone & Joint Center in Plover has announced its 2019 photography contest.

The deadline for “Reflections of Central Wisconsin” submissions is 5 p.m. on May 31.

Participants over the age of 18 are invited to submit up to five photos in the following categories: landscapes and scenery, agriculture, wildlife, landmarks, architecture, events, sports and hobbies, artistically manipulated photos, historical and cultural images, and industrial images.

Winning submissions will be displayed in the center’s clinics throughout Plover, Wausau, Medford, and Merrill, and winners will receive a $25 Visa gift card for each winning entry.

All photos must be original work of the photographer and taken between Jan. 1, 2016, and May 31, 2019, within a 50-mile radius of Medford, Merrill, Plover, or Wausau.

Jayson Dykema, Bone & Joint’s marketing manager, said the winning photos will be professionally framed before they go on display.

“We thought this would be a creative way to recognize talented people in our communities while highlighting the beauty and culture of central Wisconsin,” Dykema said.

A special art committee from the Bone & Joint Center will select a total of 60 entries based on originality, creativity, quality, overall impact, and suitability for display in a family-friendly environment, Dykema added.
